Return and Exchange Policy (EFFECTIVE March 2025)

There must be an original sales receipt present for all returns, no exceptions.

There must be proof of purchase for any and all returns.

We hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase from Hensel’s Ace Hardware.

If you are not, simply return your NEW and UNUSED item, along with all of the packaging and the Original Receipt within 60 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. ‘Special Order’ products have a 14 day return policy if original receipt of purchase is present. We will refund your money based on the Original Method of Payment.

For returns with an original sales receipt within 60 days of purchase, we will:

• Refund cash if your purchase was made with cash.

• Refund cash if your purchase was made with a check, and at least 10 business days have passed since the purchase date.

• Credit the original credit card used if your purchase was made with a credit card.

• Credit your account if charged on a House Account.

• Issue a Store Credit if your purchase was made with a Gift Card, Store Credit or Store Merchandise Return Card.

*If you made a purchase on an account or with an Ace Rewards Card we may be able to look up the receipt and re-print it to process a return but this is not a guarantee.

Note – For any return that was not purchased by an Ace Rewards Member or a House Account we require you to give us your name and telephone number upon making the return.

*Cash purchases without an original sales receipt are non refundable.

*We do not accept any returns from other stores.

For returns on items that are deemed Defective: All returns, even for items that are ‘Defective’ must have original sales receipt present.

For returns on items with a ‘Limited or Lifetime Warrantee’: You will be referred/directed to the manufacturer of the product purchased for further assistance regarding the warrantee unless approved by management. 

The following items are non-returnable for any reason and are not limited to: ‘Lodge’ branded products, ‘Kitchen-Aid’ branded products, dehumidifiers, power tools/power equipment, heaters, food sealers, fire extinguishers, submersible pumps, toilet seats, snakes, augers, plungers, tinted paint products, opened respirator packages, etc.
